We couldn’t be more happy to
share the announcement that Willy Akers has turned pro. It couldn’t have
happened to a nicer guy. Willy is just one of those guys who is great to be
around. And despite the near non-existance of skateparks here locally, he is a
success story. With family and local support but mostly his own determination
and raw talent he has succeeded.
Coinciding with the news of Willy
and fellow 5boro skater Joe Tookmanian (Paterson, NJ) going pro, the “Join or Die”
World Premiere will take place on February 16th in New York City. The full
length video will screen nationally and at his local
sponsor, Kinetic Skateboarding on February 18th.
